Wight Community Energy
Wight Community Energy (WCE) is a community benefit society set up in 2015 with a community-owned solar farm called ‘Homestead’ in Shalfleet on the Isle of Wight. Delivering community-owned renewable energy projects on the Isle of Wight. This means that members invest in the project, and the money from selling the solar electricity gets distributed back to members, and to our community fund which supports local projects alleviating fuel poverty.
