What is a TEDx talk?

TED talks are short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less) and began at a conference in 1984 where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged. Today, TED and TEDx talks cover almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Independently run TEDx events such as TEDxLukelyBrook help to share ideas in communities around the world. Our speakers bring ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’ to our venue, watch party and online through the live stream, plus as TEDx Talk videos on the TEDx YouTube Channel with over 32 million subscribers.

Clive Loseby

Clive Loseby has one aim: To Change the World, One Website at a Time. A horrific car accident in 1989 left life-changing injuries and personal experience of the prejudice and challenges that disabled people face daily. That experience has been the driving force behind his passion for making the Internet a truly accessible environment ever since.

A Global Leader in Website Accessibility for Disabled People, Clive founded Access by Design in 2006 with Jess Loseby and was responsible for creating the world’s first fully-accessible, mobile and tablet-friendly website in 2011. Something recognised in their receiving the Product Innovation Award in the Observer Business Awards in 2015 and further awards acclaim in 2018.

As a recognised expert on accessibility his approach is inclusive, honest and to the point. His insights go beyond that of others. A renowned public speaker for over 12 years, Clive is extremely engaging. People who listen to him come away educated, inspired and never look at websites in quite the same way again.
